Memphis Thunder Racing team member Philipe Simek traveled to Benton Harbor, Michigan, this past Saturday to complete the Ironman 70.3 Steelhead Triathlon. This half-ironman distance event consisted of a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike and a 13.1-mile run. Despite a tough course at a tough distance, Philipe had a great performance.
In the words of Philipe, "I left everything out on the course from the rolling waves in the swim, the massive headwinds on the bike and the cramping legs on the run. I felt like I was redlining the entire time but I know I gave it my all."
