Memphis Thunder Racing team member Jeff Skinner traveled to Okalahoma City this past Saturday, September 19th to compete at the Redman Triathlon. This event also served as the official 2009 USAT Long Course Triathlon National Championship. The half-ironman distance event consisted of a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike and a 13.1-mile run.
There was stiff competition and brutal conditions, with rain all day and a rough bike course. Although Jeff was upset to finish just out of a podium spot, his time set a half-ironman distance personal record, as well as qualifying himself for a spot on Team USA for the 2010 Long Course Triathlon World Championships!
