Five Memphis Thunder Racing team members completed the 2010 Heatwave Classic Triathlon this past Saturday, June 5th. This always great venue in Ridgeland, Mississippi consisted of a 1/2-mile swim in the Ross Barnett Reservoir, a 24.5-mile bike along the Natchez Trace Parkway and a 10k run along Ridgeland's multi-use trail system.
A morning breeze made for a choppy swim and windy bike course, and the cooler than normal temperature was still offset by the 100% humidity which still made the event's name "Heatwave," very applicable as competitors were pretty much dripping wet upon finishing.
