The Inaugural "Du at the Wolf" was great fun for all!

Published on 10/25/2009

Awesome fall weather presented itself for Memphis Thunder Racing's Inaugural "Du at the Wolf" offroad duathlon this past Saturday, October 24th.  This new, local-area multisport event was created to highlight the latest outdoor area available to the Memphis community.

The Wolf River Wildlife Area on the east end of Collierville, played host to this offroad race consisting of a 2-mile run, a 6.5-mile bike, and second 4-mile run.  Boomer Leopold, of the Los Locos Triathlon Team, led the group of over 40 participants along the entire course once leaving T1 to claim the overall title.

With a course that is easy enough for the most novice multisport athlete, yet challenging enough for even seasoned veterans, we are certain to see this race grow over the upcoming years into another great Memphis area event!

Thunder would like to make a special congratulations to all of our participants!
