Newman is heading to Kona!!!

Mark Newman traveled to the Ironman 70.3 Buffalo Springs Lake Triathlon this past weekend in Lubbock, Texas. This year's race served as a special qualifier for the 2010 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii later this year, and allotted one qualifying spot per age group.

Mark had a great race with a strong swim and bike, but then used his incredible running ability to run down his competitors and literally run away with the top age group spot, finishing as the 10th overall age grouper and beating his age group competitors by over 3 minutes.
